Maybe you were: born a mutant, found a magical pendant, were involved in a science experiment, or something else entirely. It doesn't really matter what your story is either way, because you've been given the chance to attend the prestigious Academy X.
What is Academy X? It's the first school of it's kind to open it's doors to everyone - mutant, magic, alien, or otherwise. Here they promise to teach young people how to control their fledgling abilities all while obtaining a high school diploma in a safe place. Doesn't that sound nice? And don't worry, there's no catch. They're not training the next wave of superheroes or anything like that. At least not unless that's what your aspiration is anyway.
Can't afford tuition? That's okay, there are plenty of scholarships open dedicated to helping youth in your situation. So come take a seat in the headmistress' office and take that first step towards a bright new future.

Academy X is an AU, panfandom roleplay set at the prestigious Academy X, a school for youngsters who possess special abilities or who would otherwise benefit from the safe haven that is their campus. It's based slightly on the X-men and slightly on the Avengers too, but no in-depth knowledge of any incarnation of any team (or Institute) is required. It's an AU game after all so it's unlikely to have much in common with any one canon for too long.
